Performance and Applications: BTMS-50% is a solid pelletized, high-activity behenyl (derived from the rape seed oil) quaternary ammonium conditioning agent, mixed with isopropyl alcohol. BTMS-50% is dissolved in alcohol and dispersed in warm water. BTMS-50% is an exceptionally effective cationic self-emulsifying wax. BTMS-50% is a vegetable-based viscosity increaser and emulsion stabilizer for creams and conditioners.
It is recommended for use in conditioners, detanglers, deep conditioning relaxers, and personal care emulsions. It is used as strong conditioning agent, antistatic agent and softening agent. When mixed with cetostearyl alcohol, a number of efficient hair conditioning blends can be made, and this allows to produce palm-free claims.
