Performance and Applications:
Cetrimonium chloride is a cationic surfactant widely used beyond hair care products. It is also utilized in asphalt emulsification, waterproof coating emulsification, and soft processing of glass fibers. Other applications include industrial auxiliaries, silicone oil emulsifiers, pharmaceutical industry aids, textile and leather chemical auxiliaries, emulsion foaming agents, and soft antistatic agents for material fibers and polyester silk. Additionally, it serves as an organic bentonite covering agent, a protein and water treatment flocculant, a disinfectant for silkworm chambers, and an agent for washing, disinfection, and sterilization, among other uses.
CTAC 70%: Cetrimonium Chloride-70%
Cetrimonium chloride (CTAC) is a cationic quaternary ammonium salt commonly used as a light conditioning agent in hair care products. In conditioners and cream rinses, it enhances both wet and dry combing while minimizing static electricity. As a cationic compound, CTAC is mainly found in conditioning products rather than shampoos.
This product is a solution with 69–70% active cetyl trimethyl ammonium chloride. CTAC also serves as a topical antiseptic and preservative due to its ability to inhibit microorganism growth. Additionally, it functions as a surfactant for cleansing and emulsifying and as a suspending agent.
Note: Since this product is considered harmful to the environment, it is currently classified as a hazardous material for international shipping. Therefore, buyers must have the capability to clear hazardous goods through customs in their own country.
