Performance and Applications:
Glycol distearate is the diester of ethylene glycol and stearic acid. HLB value 4-6 (gives water-in-oil emulsions). Melting Point: 60-65°C (140-149°F).Glycol Distearate (EGDS) is a natural, easy-to-use pearlizing agent, emollient, and opacifier. EGDS will contribute body, opacity, and a soft velvety feel to water-based formulations. It can even add viscosity at higher usage levels.
