PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides is a non-ionic ingredient that provides oil-free moisturizing benefits in skin and hair care products. Sourced from coconuts, it serves as a non-sensitizing and gentle cleanser suitable for facial, skin, and hair formulations. This ingredient is an excellent secondary liquid surfactant for shampoos, body washes, and other products, enhancing foam quality and providing a silky afterfeel.
PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides also acts as a solubilizer for small amounts of oil in water-based solutions; mixing equal parts of oil and PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides before adding to the water phase is recommended
PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Triglycerides is an effective emulsifier and emollient in cleansers and micellar waters, efficiently breaking down and removing sebum.
Use: Mainly used in makeup remover water as a surfactant to dissolve oil components.
Recommended dosage: 1–5% in either the heated or cool-down phase
