PEG-75 shea butter glycerides is a skin-softening ingredient with mild cleansing and stabilizing properties, derived from shea butter fatty acids and a lightweight polyethylene glycol with humectant qualities.
Partly derived from the hydrating glyceride component of emollient shea butter, PEG-75 Shea Butter Glycerides acts as a lightweight humectant and helps bind ingredients within a formula. It works alongside surfactants to enhance gentle cleansing, leaving the skin feeling soft and supple.
It is sometimes included in cleansing formulas to create a richer texture, with the added benefit of its shea butter components reducing the potential risk of irritation from cleansing agents.
Suggested usage is 1-5%.
