When used in cosmetics and personal care products, Steareth ingredients reduce the intermolecular forces between liquid molecules, enabling the formation of an emulsion. Without an ingredient like Steareth, the components of some personal care products may separate, much like the separation of water and oil.
Applications:
STEARETH-2 and STEARETH-21 are a pair of emulsifiers that form a stable O/W emulsion system
In cosmetics and personal care products, they are used in the formulation of personal hygiene products, deodorants, sunscreens, fragrances, as well as skin, eye, and hair care products.
Recommended dosage: 1-5%. For external use only.
